Atom elektr stansiyalari (AES) global miqyosda energiya ishlab chiqarishda muhim rol o‘ynaydi. Ular issiqlik elektr stansiyalariga nisbatan karbonat angidrid (CO2) chiqindisini kamaytirishda samarali deb qaraladi. Biroq AESlarning atrof-muhitga ta’siri chuqur o‘rganishni talab qiladi, chunki radioaktiv chiqindilar, yadroviy avariyalar xavfi va suv resurslariga salbiy ta’sir ekologik xavotirlarni kuchaytiradi.Ushbu maqolada AESlarning ekologiyaga zarar yetkazuvchi jihatlari aniq faktlar asosida yoritiladi.
